Book Bus
With the help of volunteer groups, our Book Bus goes to various group homes and emergency shelters in the Greater Houston area, allowing the kids to select books to keep.
The Book Bus brings a library. and love, right to the doorstep of the youth we serve. This large, covered trailer is stocked with books and simple activities that create meaningful connection between volunteers and kids. During each visit, youth choose books while volunteers play and engage with them, and we leave sports equipment behind at each home so the fun can continue. We’re deeply grateful to the Junior League for making the Book Bus possible.
